CACHES

 

MITCHEL WAYLANDER (Chapters 1 and 2)

In Chapter 1 Mitchel will offer you a lesson in Haggling for 50 Gold Sovereigns. If you go for it, your Haggling Skill will be raised by 10 Points (if no Skills are selected), or as much as 15 Points (if Haggling [only] is selected).

In Chapter 2 Mitchel is guarding Romney, and won't let you in, unless you have a Glazers' Guild Seal.

 

ROMNEY

Many plots and sub-plots converge in Romney. Most importantly it is the end of Chapter 2 and the beginning of Chapter 3. You can visit the Black Sheep Tavern, the Port Exchange Shop, and the Duke of Romney's House.

BLACK SHEEP TAVERN

Chapter 1: You can talk to the boy Jason, and listen to his harrowing tale of child abuse and slavery.
Chapter 2: You will arrive too late to prevent the massacre. Make sure you don't enter unless you WANT to finish Chapter 2, because it WILL finish here!
Chapter 3: You can talk to Jason again. If you know how to listen, he will give you some good clues.
Chapter 6: Poor Jason is still here, his despair even greater than before.

PORT EXCHANGE
At the start of Chapter 3 the prices in the Shop are sixfold, as a result of the Guild War. The good news is that you can sell items here and get very good prices for them, actually the best in the game. So if you intend to end the Guild War, you might not want to do so until you've cooked up a few schemes to make a lot of money here! When the Guild War ends, the prices will go back to normal.

THE DUKE OF ROMNEY
The Duke requests your assistance. In order to end the Guild War, you'll have to deliver a message to Arlie Steelsoul (see Two Inns sector). The Duke will reward you with 300 Gold Sovereigns and a Virtue Key.
