PLAGUED HOUSE
If you enter this House you will get Plagued [50%]. If you then re-enter, you will be Plagued [100%]. After that it doesn't matter how often you enter. You'll find Gold Sovereigns [34] in this House, and as a result of a BUG in the game you can find them as often as you want! Obviously you can become rich here, if you're patient. If you're worried by the Plague, don't be. It's easily cured, either by Restoratives or a combination of Herbal Packs and Sleep.

 

THE ORACLE OF AAL
 
Visit the Oracle repeatedly for new insights, as the plot unfolds.

Webmaster confesses that he has not found the time to investigate
this properly, but a complete investigation is needed. Anybody?

 

MALAC'S CROSS
 
Malac's Cross is quite a busy little town, and central to a couple of sub-plots in the game. There are four places of interest here: The Armory Shop, the Queen's Row Tavern, the Chapel of Ishap and the Lecture House (and don't miss the Barrel outside the Inn).

IVAN SKAALD at the Queen's Row
Ivan will be here at all times, and will try to interest you in a game of Chess. In order to play you will need to own an Emerald, but don't think you're going to beat Ivan unless you've learned some tricks first! (In Chapter 2 you can learn a move from Brother Marc - see Zone 2, Sarth Sector.)

Gran Petrumh is here in Chapter 2. She has something to tell you, and will tell you even more if you feed her. If you now talk to Ivan again, his "Double" keyword will be turned on. This will enable you to talk to Lysle Rigger (see Darkmoor Sector).
Also check out Ivan's "Lost & Found" - for a meagre 50 Gold Sovereigns you will get a Light Bowstring [1], an Aventurine [4], and a copy of the PSALMS OF DALA [100].

 
CHAPEL OF ISHAP

Basic Curing Factor = 100
Teleport = YES, but ... In Chapter 6, Teleport is OFF until you've helped Abbot Graves to escape.

 

ABBOT GRAVES
Chapter 1: Abbot Graves is absent.
Chapter 2: Abbot Graves can sell you a ticket for Lecture #1 [20.0]
Chapter 3: Abbot Graves can sell you a ticket for Lecture #2 [20.0]
Chapter 6: Abbot Graves is in deep shit, and needs to escape. Unless you help him, the Chapel's Teleport is OFF. Find Mitchel Waylander in Sloop - he will give you a NOTE. If you bring the NOTE to the Abbot, he will become extremely eloquent, and ultimately get lost. The Teleport function will now be ON.

 

LECTURE HOUSE
 
You can attend a lecture here twice, but first you must buy a Lecture Ticket from Abbot Graves at the Chapel of Ishap [20.0]. The first lecture takes place in Chapter 2, the second in Chapter 3. The results of both are the same: The Characters' Assessment Skills will rise.

Your gain here depends on "luck", because of a Random Factor involved. Assessment will seemingly gain 10-15 points (if no Skills are Selected), or 15-22 points (if Assessment [only] is Selected).
