CAVALL KEEP

Here you can start your research into the sordid saga of the Corvalis family. You won't learn all the nasty truths until you reach Kenting Rush and talk to Navon du Sandau, but he will not reveal all, unless you've been here first.

NOTE: You can visit Cavall Keep in Chapters 1, 2, 3 and 6 - but you can only uncover the whole story in Chapter 3.

The full tale will be found with NAVON in the Kenting Rush sector.

 

MONEYLENDER'S HOUSE

Usually Isunatius won't have much to say, but if you have the "Credit Note" (Spynote #25 found in the THORN Chest near Silden), the Monylender will be a bit more forthcoming. Count Corvalis' FINANCES keyword will be turned on. Not that it matters.

 

COUNT CORVALIS

The Count will be found here in Chapters 1-3 (in the daytime). In Chapter 6 he will have left for Kenting Rush. The Count's initial greetings will vary interestingly between Chapters. In Chapter 1 he will attack poor Owyn verbally. In Chapter 2 he will reveal his plans for marrying off Ugyne (of interest to fans of Feist's novels).

The Count's KEEP keyword will always be present. His FINANCES keyword will appear if you've discussed the Credit Note with Isunatius (see above). In order to trigger the essential NAVON keyword, you must have read Spynote #14 (found in a Chest East of the Keep).

In Chapters 2 and 3 the Count can improve your ASSESSMENT Skill. It will cost you 200 Gold Sovereigns, and your Skill will rise by 10 (if not selected) or 15 (if selected only).

WARNING: In Chapter 3 DO NOT talk to Ugyne until AFTER you've talked to her father and triggered the NAVON keyword. If you talk to her FIRST, you probably won't find her again.

 

UGYNE CORVALIS
Ugyne will only be found here in Chapters 2 and 3. If you've talked to her father about NAVON, she will offer loads of relevant information. Ask her about NEWS, then ask her about UNPLEASANT PAST, which will trigger the NEVILLE keyword. Ask about FAMILY LEGENDS, and you will have triggered the essential SWORD keyword. (In Chapter 3 Ugyne's MURDERS keyword will be triggered as well.)

In Chapter 3 DO NOT talk to Ugyne unless you've talked to her father first!

 

PETER THE GREY
Peter the Innkeeper, can give you valuable information on the Corvalis Family Saga.
If you've visited the Count, Peter's COUNT CORVALIS keyword will be active.
Starting with Chapter 2 you can also ask him about NIGHTHAWKS.
You can also re-visit Peter after you've talked to Ugyne, and ask him about NEVILLE CORVALIS and NAVON.
