UNION allows Patrus to read the Moredhel Alphabet, and is only necessary when solving Riddles in Chapters 5 and 7. Since the Spell only lasts 20 minutes (5 Large Steps), make sure the party is in a position to click all Chests, before the Spell is cast.

NOTE: This Spell will cost Patrus 15 points, which he can usually not afford! There are two ways around this:

1. Learn the Moredhel Alphabet! (See: LOOK Menu)

2. Cheat! Before Patrus needs to cast the Spell, save the game. Then cast, solve the Riddle, and make notes on how you manipulated the Word Lock. Then restore the game, and repeat the manipulations. You will now have opened the Lock without spending Patrus' valuable 15 points.
